Super 14 – Round 14 – Part 2

Crusaders take on kiwi bottom of the table team.  Everyone’s predicting a drumming, but against reasonable teams, the Crusaders have been relatively quiet.  Reckon they’ll be nervous about injuries again and will be playing conservatively, whereas the Dunedin crew has nothing to loose.  On that basis the 3.40-1, odds on Crusaders by less than 12.5 look interesting. Crusaders by 10.

Waratahs v reds should be good.  Tahs have won the last 4 times they’ve played and are playing well.  The reds with a relatively inexperienced team, playing some excellent rugby in the last three games.  Tahs will be playing cautiously too.   Expect a low scoring game with a possible reds/Tahs ht/ft dynamic.  Tahs by 6.

Lions take on Stormers. Expect the Lions to run hard at them in the first half, and blow themselves out in the second, faced with such an excellent defense.

Stormers by 14.

Bulls head to Bloem to take on the Cheetahs in a nothing game.  The Bulls have been picking up their game every week since the middle of the tournament.  Bulls by 20.

Finally the Sharks have a potentially final game against an injury strewn Chiefs.   With the Blues now in with a chance too, the Sharks are going to have throw everything at them to load up the score and get the 5 points.

The chiefs have been such an in form team during the middle of the tournament and are now looking pretty average.

Reckon the Chiefs will do their usual wild passing game and the Sharks will pounce getting their bonus point.   Sharks by 8.
