NZ Herald has carried off some ostentatious onomatopoeia this week with its resounding snub of Saffer rugby which it reckons is being played in an ELV backwater:
“The Lions, Cheetahs and Stormers are at the foot of the points table while the Sharks have scraped a couple of narrow wins without the panache, power, pace and precision of the top two New Zealand teams.”
Wow. Not sure how excited they should get when the Blues smash the Lions, perennial wooden spooners and full strength Saders side demolishes a massively under strength Bulls. But the next few weeks should tell.
